This miniature pack contains two tea bags of green, Kirishima tea.
It is part of a series of Kagoshima themed designed packs, and in this case is styled after the Oh no Konbo figures kept in kitchens in Kagoshima.
The tea is best brewed at 70-80 degrees, for 60 seconds, in a pot or large mug containing around 250ml or water.
It was harvested from leaves grown at the Sueshige family tea business in the Kirishima region of Kagoshima.
About Sueshige Tea
Kirishima sits at the foot of the Takachiho no Mine volcano range. Here the altitude leads to a colder climate, and a distinctive Kagoshiman terroir for tea. When brewed, Kirishima teas often offer a quite thin green colour, that deceives to the level of taste. The brews are in fact fresh, sophisticated and satisfying. The Sueshige family business has been farming teas in the region since 1932 and understands all of its characteristics.
